This service provides both convenience as well as support during emergency situations.” said Ernst Fonternel, MTN Chief Marketing Officer. To access this service, customers will do so by dialing *146# and here one can check for the loan balance. However the conditions are;
A customer must have less than 240/- in their account. To access up to 1,000/- in Airtime, customers must have recharged a minimum of 10,000/- per month for the last 6 months or minimum of 15,000/- per month for the last 12 months to access 1,500/- in Airtime. The loan attracts a 10% fee which is deducted from the Airtime loan. MTN Xtra Time loans represent normal Airtime and can be used for all MTN services although it is not transferable via Me2U.
